I love this first comic, and you know what's ironic? Apparently, the girl "was being all wacky and doing all this annoying stuff that was driving the guy nuts", "but then he like totally fell in love with her in the end anyway and I was like soooo not expecting that it was so sweet and romantic". I remember years ago when I was a mere freshman and I somehow discovered this comic, I remember reading this first page and thinking how much more WTF and interesting this comic was going to be, I'm a graduate from high school heading to college soon and even still i look at this first page and think the same thing. The comic is amazing. The art, the characters, the story, all top notch. I'm sad to see it go but it ended absolutley perfectly. Not like how the avatar series ended. This comic will always be one of the first webcomics i ever read and will always be the best. [Reply]

I had to come back to this comic. It was years ago that I had found this, and I thought it was the best thing ever.
I somehow happened to find it again, it's still amazing.
I don't think I'm going to be reading th recap, I'm reading the whole thing. [I need something to read for the enxt forever, and this is perfect.]

I want this comic in book form, so bad. I'd love to have this as volumes on my shelf.

Josh, I came back to this page after 5 years.
A lot has happened in those 5 years for me, but I'm glad to see your comic is still here.
The feeling of joy I get when reading this story makes me glad to know that your quality
work still is here despite everything that has changed for me, and I can't wait to have

This was my first web comic period: all those years ago when it was go-girly and wendy was still up
and as much as i'm enjoying pinksnowbunny i think i'm gonna reread girly in its entirety and comment on each and every single page. Whether or not Josh even checks these things anymore, i don't know its just something i feel like doing, call it on nostalgia rush

Man, did you guys ever expect all the crazy evil sidekicks and happyco stuff and kickassery at the end when you were reading the first chapter? Even the second page of the comic surprised me--the space thing was weird, but I never expected giant dildos to the head and stalkers and such. I never thought it would be this wacky, did you? I keep thinking about the same thing when I see this page. Girly the movie! No way it's going to happen, but this is how it would be set up. The Refreshments' Girly would play, and the shot would be of a zoomed-out view of a park. Otra is standing next to the other girl. The music fades down and the other girl starts talking. Otra is narrating. Then she says "and that was when she entered my life" and there is a quick shot of Winter's eyes. There is a thwack, and the screen becomes black with stars to show Otra was hit. The screen says "Girly, the movie" and credits roll. Then after the credits the movie goes on, following the stirrings but not as random. Otra is played by the woman who played Ramona from 'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.'
El Chupacabre would be played by Jim Carry. [Reply]
