    I still postulate that the Otra we last saw is a doppleganger.
    Most likely even the creation that went berserk. It definitely looks shape-shifty in the "berserk" panel.

    @Jeeves I think time basically passes however fast Josh wants it to, but it's definitely not a one-to-one relationship with the real world. This was lampshaded in #429.

    As for recent time, there was a three-month time skip in #564. My guess is we're in late September now, but it's hard to say. [Reply]

    @Adam M It was still 2003 in comic #514 ("And the winner of Miss Swimsuit Cute-Town 2003 is..."), so I'm guessing it's probably late September 2003 in Cute-Town now. Time has been moving a bit slower in the comic than in real life. [Reply]

    Earlier, the Business Sidekick "revealed" that Otra was created two years ago by the former CEO of HappyCo to be the sidekick queen, and that her time with Winter was just the quickening process. However, Colette's revelation in THIS strip about the project's failure proves her false, as there wouldn't have been time had that really been the case. [Reply]

    It's still not entirely clear what Xerox guy was trying to do here? Was Project HappyCo supposed to be making a clone of Other Girl? A rival for Winter? "Petty Obsessive Jealousy" sorta covers alot of ground.

    Regardless, from this point on I'm just going to assume that Otra is made up of Other Girl's DNA and that Otra and Winter have been having all sorts of illicit kinky clone incest happy times together.

    you know, after re-reading some chapters, the story's dont really add up. in an older comic, winter said that her parent's had been missing for about a month, times add up there since they had only been on a few adventures and couldn't have met more than a week or so ago. however, in the more recent flashback to when she got the dress, she said that she followed otra around for a couple weeks before finally introducing herself to her. that would mean that if happyco did make otra based off of winters parents after abducting them like it's implied they did, they would have had to do it in less than a week. just what i've been thinking about, and maybe good to have in mind over the next few pages [Reply]

    I always figured that the sidekick Queen was a vaporous blob that possessed people. That would make Yummi an actual victim of the Queen, explaining why she knew about whatever's wrong with Otra. It could also be that the Queen's a shape-shifter, and a liar like the rest of HappyCo, though. [Reply]

    You know when Otra came out and said she was the queen, I commented that if you look at her hair vs. her hair when she left Winter, its styles slightly different and all inky and wiry like the Business Sidekick. (I don't know if anyone else noticed that) So it may be a clone/replacement with a BS story to keep Winter from fighting and mucking up their plans. [Reply]

    I don't really think those are meaningful clues.
    I refer you to comics #685 and #690, before and after the split up, respectively.
    There is no distinguishable difference between these Otras, aside from the possibility that Josh might have forgotten to include the eyebrow ring on either of them.(something he's been rather inconsistent about for a long time now)
    And referring to the moment where she revealed she was the queen is kind of meaningless, since moments ago she was being attacked by a pack of adorable puppies with hats. Something like that is bound to mess up a perfect coiffure. [Reply]

    @Jeeves I suppose that's true. But we still don't really know what happened when Otra and Winter split up. We only heard the Queen's fake story, and the only other witness currently only speaks French. So, it could still be a fake. [Reply]

    @linkman Not really that true. In #507, Otra says "we've only been together for like 6 months." Considering the 3 month time skip, and just general time otherwise, they've been together about 9 to 11 months, I'd say.

    Another part is that I don't think the "2 years ago" applies to the moment where he took Winter's parents. A project that big could have been in development for many, many months before the kidnapping. Otra's development could have even been BEFORE that, actually, considering Winter was wandering/following her for a month.

    Anyway, time gaps and such put aside, this comic kind of scares me. Lol. Mainly Winter's smile. But, Marshmallow's smiling, so it must mean she's better. XD [Reply]

    I was pretty quick to believe this new revelation, but now I'm wondering why we should trust what Xerox told Collette. I'm (barely) more likely to believe him than Business Sidekick, but neither seem like very trustworthy sources of info.

    #118 in that one winter states that at that point, her parent's had only been gone for a month #692 and there's the one where she said that she followed otra around for a couple of weeks. and up there in the comic right now, you can see that they started making sidekicks based off of her parents after kidnapping them, probably to study them or whatever.     Just to point it out if it hasn't been already, the failed sidekick thing was (if #626 is really chronologically accurate in its placement as being between the end of 14 and the start of 15) only released a few (not entirely sure how long exactly) months before the bulk of chapter 15. This basically means that the failed sidekick isn't and chronologically can not be the real Otra.

    Hmph. Otra's definitely the sidekick queen, and everything Winter loves is a lie painstakingly engineered to make her life sad and miserable.

    Marshmallow cat is a brain parasite just waiting for its chance to infest everyone; just when it looks like the citizens of Cutetown are going to defeat the sidekicks, she will strike, leading to their final ruin.

    The last frame of the very last comic Josh ever does will be a shot from above of a dead winter's corpse being torn apart by rats. Her intestines will be clearly visible.

    Then Josh'll have a heart attack and be eaten by his cat after it isn't fed for two weeks and realizes that he's the only food left in his apartment. [Reply]

    @inv4der Well, here are my thoughts: #626 was released at the start of the sidekick calamity. After "Do Your Thing", CuteTown Went to hell, and then Otra and Winter start to fix everything. No matter what the fake Sidekicks do, they can't stop the couple because they're not real sidekicks. So what do they do? Break up the couple. Get the business Sidekick to cook up a plan so little miss "do your thing" can impersonate Otra once she's captured and break Winter's heart and her resolve as a result. Otra got captured when she and Winter split up to recover both dresses, and whatever the thing was in #626 took her place.
